OVERVIEW
Equipment Room is a high-fidelity vinyl listening bar in Austin. Tucked away below a hotel, its name pays tribute to the room’s orginal function as a storage area.
Inspired by Jazz Kissa culture in Japan, every detail–from the curated vinyl collection and carefully planned sound system to the interior design choices–is devoted to the experience of listening.
A single lightbox cube serves as the bar's only marker from street.
The minimally branded business card is a reference to pre-digital card catalogs.
The spirits menu design is inspired by vintage hi-fi equipment manuals.
